I'm Maurice. My name is on the company — and on the jobsite.

When Bath Fitter sends a salesperson to your home, they pitch a franchise playbook and leave the install to a subcontractor. When you book a consultation with us, I show up myself. I measure your bathroom, I scope your project, and when my crew starts the work, I'm there.

We've completed over 250 bathrooms across the GTA over the past 15+ years. Some were one-day acrylic conversions — a tired tub replaced with a safe, low-entry walk-in shower. Some were full tear-outs with heated tile floors, freestanding tubs, and custom vanities. Both kinds of jobs come out of one crew. My crew.

How is Maurice Bath Reno different from Bath Fitter?
Bath Fitter is a franchise that only installs their own manufactured acrylic system over your existing tub. That works great for some bathrooms. We do that type of install too — but we also do full tear-out remodels with heated floors, custom tile, freestanding tubs, and plumbing reroutes. One independent crew, owner on-site, and you choose the scope based on what your bathroom actually needs.
How much does a bathroom renovation actually cost?
Our renovations start at $10,500. A typical acrylic tub-to-shower conversion runs $10,500–$15,000. A moderate-scope remodel with added work runs roughly $15,000–$20,000. A full tear-out remodel with premium finishes (heated floors, freestanding tub, custom tile) runs $25,000–$30,000+. We scope it to your home at the free in-home consultation and give you a firm price in writing — no surprises later.
Can you do this in 1 day? Really?
For a standard acrylic tub-to-shower conversion — yes, typically 1–2 days. Most of our customers who book Tuesday are in a finished shower by Thursday. Full tile remodels take longer (5–7 days) because tile, heated floor elements, and grout all need proper cure time. We'll tell you honestly which type of project yours is at the consultation.
Where do you service?
Our primary service area is the Greater Toronto Area — Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, King City, and across the GTA. We also take on projects in the London and Ottawa areas; travel logistics depend on scope, so ask us at your consultation.
Are you insured? WSIB?
Yes. Our crew is WSIB-covered and we carry full liability insurance on every project. We'll provide documentation before work begins — you should never hire a contractor who can't show you this.
What does the financing actually look like?
We partner with Financeit, a Canadian-owned financing company. You can get pre-approved up to $100,000 in under 5 minutes — it doesn't affect your credit score. Monthly or biweekly payment options, no prepayment penalties. We'll walk you through your specific rate and term at the in-home consultation.
